Farmersburg Festival, Inc. formed Oct. 1999 to bring back community activities, to improve our town, and to help our school by providing scholarships. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We were incorporated in 2001. We are funded entirely by donations from businesses, individuals, and a few fundraisers. Since then we have an annual Easter Egg Hunt the Sat. before Easter at George Heap Memorial Park. We fill 2000 eggs with candy and toys. We give approximately 10-12 prizes per each of 4 age groups. We also have door prize baskets donated by local businesses and individuals. We sponsor "Farmersburg Old Settlers" in August. We have food vendors, crafters, demonstrations, entertainment, inflatables, kid games hosted by LightHouse Christian Church, Car Show, Parade, Horseshoe Pitch hosted by Friends of the Park. We host "Fall Scholarship Festival" the Sat. before Halloween at Farmersburg Elementary School gymnasium. We have a costume parade where we award prizes to the 3 best costumes in each of 4 categories and 4 ages groups. We have had a prize for the "Oldest male and female Attendees" and a special prize for a "People's Choice Award" for anyone 18 or older. Admission is free if masked and $1 if unmasked. Treat bags are given to the first 60 masked admissions. There is a dance to follow for the K-6th students. Proceeds from this event go for 2 $250 scholarships to Farmersburg Seniors graduating in the spring. It is based on need through "Dollars for Scholars" at North Central High School and attending college in the fall. Our meetings are the 4th Monday of each month at the Farmersburg Library. If you wish to receive notification of these meetings, just click "contact us" and give your name, address, phone number, and e-mail address. OFFICERS-2008: Don Gaskins--President
